NEWS & REVIEWS
British teen Mikey aspires to be a Clavadista, one of the legendary brotherhood of Acapulcan high divers. Unfortunately, a practice dive from a tree in his backyard results in a two-year coma and a clinical condition that leaves him unable to sleep, a fatal condition. With only a few weeks to live, Mikey decides to turn detective and recover a Distinguished Flying Cross that has been stolen from an elderly friend. The bad news: this will put him at loggerheads with a sinister fellow called The Fat Controller. The (arguably) good news: Mikey’s partner in, uh, recovery is the beautiful but troubled Livia, who has an unfortunate predilection for toot and other stimulating but equally illegal substances. First-novelist Wilson has created an amusing caper adventure of the madcap sort. --Michael Cart

London Paper
With laugh-out-loud moments, this charming bedtime story will leave you anything but sleepy.
Big Issue
A humorous, moving and elequent debut.
Bookseller
Described as a humorous, moving and eloquent debut by the UK's Bookseller Magazine the intriguingly titled Sleepwalker's Introduction to Flight has already been favourably compared with Mark Haddon's Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night and DBC Pierre's Vernon God Little.
Think Magazine
Thicker Than Water (by Sion Scott-Wilson) was the other near-winner. It has the best lines and it made me snort with laughter a couple of times. The dialogue is very strong, and the crucial opening two or three scenes are polished and effective. The characterisation is vivid and the author has a sharp eye for detail.
